About this place
If you’re choosing a pastry at SENDAI-Kaffee, the cinnamon Danish is worth considering: one reviewer described it as satisfying. Another visitor enjoyed the cinnamon and blueberry-yoghurt breads, noting their crisp exteriors, soft centres and pleasantly restrained sweetness.
For a light start, pair coffee with bread in the morning. At lunch, the set lets you choose 2 items from selected breads and sandwiches, served with salad and a drink. The choice of more than one bread makes it a practical option when you want a fuller meal. One diner singled out the egg sandwich, with its garlicky egg salad, lettuce and lightly toasted bread. The menu also includes a ham-and-cheese sandwich in a croissant for anyone after a savoury option.
Hot hand-dripped coffee is available in medium or dark roast. If you’d prefer less bitterness, decaffeinated café latte is another option. The menu also features an oat milk latte, homemade lemonade served hot or cold, and lemon squash, so there are alternatives to coffee.
For a simple coffee break with something sweet, the menu includes a cream-puff bread and a firm-set pudding. A visitor who tried the apple pie said its small size was just right for a little treat. The café is on Senshu University’s Jimbocho campus and is described as suitable for breakfast, lunch, solo dining and working on a computer. There is also terrace seating for fine-weather days.
